Consistent team efforts by both the senior and junior girls
teams, with the best placed being Joanna George (continuing her great form in
the carnival) 2nd overall in Junior Girls, and Meredith Norman 3rd
Australian in the Senior Girls. Some disappointment in the senior boys with
both Angus Haines and Dante Afnan mis-punching, leaving newcomer Rohan Jackson

Australian Schools Relay - Macquarie Wood The final schools championship event was the relay held on a map with pine forest, some thickets and rocky outcrops enabling the course planners to set some technical sections and longer legs with route choice. The senior boys made up for yesterday's mis-pinches with a 3rd place overall, 2nd Australian team, with great runs by all team members - Dante Afnan, Rohan Jackson and Angus Haines. Dante came back on the 1st leg in 4th place, newcomer Rohan Jackson put in a great effort on the second leg to keep the team in 4th. Angus Haines made up 2 places and was with the ACT at the spectator control, but could not hold them off, finishing 3rd overall. Our other teams felt the pressure of the overall week, with Senior Girls 4th Australian team, Junior Girls also 4th Australian team. In the junior boys the second team with reserves Oscar Johnston and Leith Soden running with Toby Cazzolato finished just ahead of the first team.
