First event at Mattum Creek in many years

Thursday, 22 May 2014

Our next cross country/bush event will be held at Mattum Creek (along the Cowell - Cleve Road) on Sunday June 1st. This is the first time the Saltbush Orienteers have ventured to this map in around a decade. A number of years ago a bush fire swept through the area clearing a lot of the flora, but now with several years of good rains the bush has bounded back & is looking spectaluar (see pictures below). By all reports some of the new growth may provide an interesting challenge for some of the courses!

Start times for the event are from 10am until 1pm. Click here for full event details. Come along and enjoy an area of the EP that we rarely get to see.
