Events 2 to 4  -  Wilpena Pound area, Flinders Ranges, 500 km NE of Adelaide.
The Events featured below were set around the Magnificent Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges, 500km north of Adelaide.  An outback experience in the Flinders Ranges, where all events were in the shadow of Wilpena Pound, a stunning example of Australian rugged outback mountain ranges. Razorback quartzite ridges  form a spectacular backdrop to orienteering. The Outback Challenge, Australian Relay Championships and Australian Individual Championships were all  held in testing but fast running terrain - subtle gully/spur topography and cover of Australian native pine with some open areas.
